Israël Furst had been a Revisionist Zionist 
in his youth. The son of a small manufacturer, he graduated from the Warsaw School of Commerce and directed the Jewish Academy before the War. He was in charge of the Judenrat's Economic Department and acted 
as a Gestapo agent inside the Judenrat. 
Furst was executed by the JFO. He was 36.
